John Pelton MBE

John is Senior Advisor, Infrastructure. John was previously Amentum’s Enterprise Director working at AWE and during the split/merger with Jacobs. That followed two years with Costain after having led Jacobs’ Programme Partner for East West Rail. Prior to that he was seconded to the Lower Thames Crossing programme as the Sponsorship Director following three years as the Programme Partner Director on the Palace of Westminster Restoration and Renewal Programme including a year as the Managing Director of the Parliament Estate. He led Highways England’s Major Projects transformation programme, Crossrail’s Programme Partner JV (including delivering Crossrail’s innovation programme) and HS2’s Efficiency Challenge Programme. John’s first career with the British Army involved him in leading complex programmes on operations around the world and then latterly in procurement. He is an Honorary Professor at the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at UCL also supports Southampton University Business School as a Leader and Entrepreneur in Industry. He is chair of the Cambridge University Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction steering group.
