Join us for the opening night of an exhibition introducing to the UK an outstanding young (fourteen year old) Vietnamese art talent.
The exhibition is being mounted by D Contemporary, the gallery, which is fully part of our parent company, Strategy International. One of the gallery's primary purposes is to compliment the business networking and market-understanding/entry work we do at British Expertise International supporting UK organisations working in international, notably emerging and developing economies by also collaborating on exhibitions which create cultural opportunities to bring together relevant UK and overseas audiences.
In this case our partner is the Embassy of Vietnam to the UK, with whom we have developed close links in recent years. Vietnam is both a clear growth and supply chain market for UK business and strategically important within the UK’s ‘tilt’ to the Indo-Pacific. Areas of opportunities for UK companies include in education, infrastructure, energy, healthcare and technology.
The artist, Xeo Chu, something of a child prodigy, was selected to represent his nation at Dubai’s recent Expo 2021.
This exhibition explores Xeo Chu’s past decade of his childhood growing up not just as a child, but also as an aspiring young artist recognised worldwide. His work is also regarded as a personal diary, giving us an insight into the everyday life of a young Vietnamese artist. Through the exhibition, Chu’s techniques and styles can be seen developing and taking on a real form over the course of 10 years, gearing towards abstract expressionism; similar to the works of Jackson Pollock.
