Presented in December 2019, the overarching objective of the EU Green Deal is for the EU to become a climate-neutral continent by 2050. The European Green Deal represents a comprehensive policy package with a wide range of legal and policy measures including support for restoring ecosystems and biodiversity, a clean environment, more affordable energy, smarter transport, new jobs, sustainable food systems, and healthy diets.

This session aims to explore the effect of the EU Green Deal on Britain’s markets, trade relations, and businesses. DAI is currently working on a set of regulations and updates that form part of the European Green Deal and at this event, will unpack the potential impact of this deal on emerging and frontier economies that many UK businesses rely on in their supply chains and trade.
