Join us as we hearfrom the OECD on their latest report and proposal for a global certificationframework for infrastructure for the Blue Dot Network. The authors of thereport will provide an overview of the evidence-based proposal for a credible, efficient, transparent and sustainable certification framework forinfrastructure.
The Blue Dot Network, an initiative led by Australia, Japan and the United States, provides an innovative solution to mobilise private sector investment, presenting an evidence-based proposal for a coherent, transparent and sustainable certification framework for global infrastructure. This proposal has been developed in alignment with the G20 Principles for Quality Infrastructure Investment, the SDGs, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standard, and a range of other OCED international standards. The Blue Dot Network is seeking to deliver benefits for governments, investors, infrastructure developers and contractors, as well as to also strengthen the private sector’s role in infrastructure investment. In ensuring robustness of global infrastructure through a streamlining of international standards, confidence can be provided to stakeholders, simplifying project processes.
This event will provide an insight into this research and the necessity in ensuring quality infrastructure, not only for the Race to Net Zero, but for business and human prosperity. This work has benefited from extensive consultation with over 180 private sectors and civil society organisations, which expressed significant demand for an interconnected and transparent global certification framework. Join us as we break down this research and highlight the intricacies of this body of work.
