Join us for a discussion with FCDO Chief Scientist, Charlotte Watts, as she shares some perspectives on the effective use of robust research and data for evidence based decision making in development programmes and how this aligns to FCDO priorities.
Reliable monitoring, evaluating and reporting processes allow theFCDO to ensure delivery methods are evidence based, accountable and stand up to scrutiny, in line with the guiding principles of FCDO delivery. However, these systems are always improving, and we look forward to a discussion on FCDO’s priorities as they work to ensure programming is evidence based.
As part of her job Chief Scientist Charlotte Watts is responsible for championing the use of robust evidence across FCDO, and at this session she will share her perspective and insights on how the department and supply partners can use science and research in delivering future FCDO programmes in line with the 7 global challenge priorities.
Ultimately, evidence based decision and policy making will contribute towards building a better understanding of the challenges FCDO programmes are trying to support as well as the various factors that would deliver successful programmes.
