Join us for a session convening our education members at a critical moment in supporting learners and educators across the Middle East, who are now facing widespread disruption as a result of conflict in the region.
Education providers across the Middle East are facing acute and rapidly evolving challenges as conflict disrupts learning environments, funding streams and the safety of students and staff. Schools and programmes are being forced to adapt at speed - shifting to hybrid or online delivery, managing staff changes, and supporting the emotional and physical wellbeing of students and teachers. In this context, it can be helpful for education providers with operations in the region to come together to share approaches to sustaining learning through conflict and uncertainty.
This session aims to convene as many members in the education sector as possible to facilitate peer-to-peer practical knowledge-sharing. Through an open discussion introduced by a few members, we will explore approaches to supporting the resilience of education systems in conflict settings, best practice models for remote and hybrid learning, operational considerations, and strategies for safeguarding staff and learners. We hope that insights from the discussion will help shape our collective understanding of available strategies and enable stakeholders to support each other.
