During London Climate Action Week 2024, British Expertise International is organising a photography exhibition to showcase members’ work in climate change mitigation and adaptation in the Global South. During the exhibition, we will hold several showcase events which are co-designed with members supporting the exhibition.
We are grateful for Practical Action’s support as one of the group sponsors of this programme, and as part of the showcase are co-creating a session on Sustainable adaptation: Learning from communities on the frontlines of climate change. We will be discussing the topic quite broadly and talking through approaches by drawing on examples, as opposed to technical information. Please do arrive from 10:30am for coffee and networking before the session starts at 11:00am.
Some of the themes we will be discussing include:
We are delighted to confirm that we will be joined by Gemma Tanner, Senior Adaptation Adviser at the FCDO, Nandi Hall, Senior Director, Economic Growth at DAI Global, and Colin McQuistan, Head of Climate & Resilience at Practical Action.
Practical Action is an international development group. Together with communities and global partners, they develop unexpected, real-world solutions to create sustainable lives and livelihoods on the frontlines of poverty and climate change, turning surviving into thriving, and overcoming injustice, especially for women and vulnerable groups.
