After a tumultuous 2020, businesses are looking ahead in 2021 to the prospect of the end of the COVID-19 pandemic and an economic rebound. However, the pace and nature of recovery will be varied across regions. In the Middle East and North Africa, the dynamics of the pandemic will interact with underlying, structural economic, social and demographic trends and a complex geopolitical environment to produce a challenging landscape for businesses to navigate.
British Expertise International is pleased to welcome Control Risks, a specialist risk consultancy, to offer its views on the major trends shaping the risk environment for businesses and how these trends will unfold in the MENA region. Three of their MENA-based political risk analysts, Graham Griffiths, Sherif El-Ashmawy and Nicki Siamaki, will join us to provide a regional perspective on these issues.
Graham oversees the analysis and consulting work produced by Control Risks’ political risk team in the Middle East and North Africa and leads its work on the Gulf. Sherif leads Control Risks’ analysis of political, regulatory, operational and security risks in North Africa for clients across different sectors. The consulting engagements he leads on include project-specific work such as stakeholder mappings, security threat assessments, market-entry assessments and benchmarking exercises, working closely with the firm’s business intelligence and security consulting teams. Nicki leads on analysis of political, operational and security developments in Iran and contributes to work on Iraq and other Middle Eastern and North African countries.
Join BEI on the 29th April to hear from Graham, Sherif and Nicki to hear about the risk environment for UK businesses looking to invest in the region.
