Many countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia provide rich opportunities for UK exporters and consultants. However, organisations doing business there are well aware of some of the market access barriers – and how these can require a holistic and innovative approach.
The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) Eastern Europe and Central Asia Network (EECAN) have been running a series of interventions aimed at supporting the UK government’s trade objectives and increasing UK exports to the Eastern Europe & Central Asia region. Through case studies, including specific examples of how capacity building has brought new opportunities for UK plc, they will help brainstorm ideas on how the UK government could support British exports to EECA or remove trade barriers for UK companies.
The EECAN region consists of the following countries:
Armenia • Azerbaijan • Georgia • Kazakhstan • Kyrgyzstan • Moldova • Mongolia • Tajikistan • Turkey • Turkmenistan • Ukraine • Uzbekistan
This webinar aims to help companies build a better understanding on how UK government support can be utilised for trade projects across the region. The session will include a briefing on some of the current market barriers, and an overview of what the DBT policy team is currently working on. We are also very keen to hear from you about the challenges your organisation faces in these markets.
