Together with BEI’s sister organisation, The D Group, join us on Monday 18th May for a roundtable with senior representatives from Oman, including the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the National Centre for Statistics and Information, Estidamah (National Programme for Fiscal Sustainability and Financial Sector Development), and Sultan Qaboos University.
Oman’s Vision 2040 agenda is accelerating reforms to underscore Oman’s position as a stable, forward‑looking hub for investment and innovation across the Gulf. With a young population, expanding infrastructure, and a commitment to economic diversification, this session will explore Oman’s plans to shift towards long‑term, strategic international investment partnerships. Discussions will highlight the Sultanate's ambition to drive the private sector through strong B2B, government, and academic partnerships.
The roundtable will examine UK experiences in coordinating industrial strategy across government and the private sector, drawing lessons from the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy (MIS) and the Industrial Strategy Advisory Council (ISAC). The session will also consider how Oman can further refine its external economic narrative to highlight stability and opportunity.
