Join us for a discussion with Andrew Griffith the exCOO of SKY, now MP for Arundel, briefly the PM’s advisor on business before entering parliament last year and now the HMG lead on engaging with business around Carbon net zero.
This will be a joint D Group and British Expertise webinar in which Andrew Griffith will review key HMG objectives and where and how he wants to build a partnership with UK business. As the Government’s Net ZeroBusiness Champion he has unique insight into future government policy and how that policy will actually impact businesses as the UK pledges to reach net zero by 2050. As part of his role Andrew is tasked with enabling and harnessing the potential of British firms as they launch new products, attract new investment and create new jobs while leading the world in climate change technology. Andrew will be able to talk to what incentives and help the government is able to offer businesses ahead of the so called green industrial revolution.
With COP26 fast approaching more and more UK based businesses are working to comply with government goals on reducing carbon emission, indeed the number of businesses that have pledged to reach a net carbon zero by 2040 tripled during 2020. Andrew will be able to discuss the work that he is doing along with COP26 president Alok Sharma to prepare for the event that is being held in Glasgow later this year and the work that is being done in order to build back greener after the pandemic.
Zoom joining instructions will be sent out a day prior to the event.
