Join us for a deep dive into the education opportunities in Morocco. Leading on from BEI’s Ambassador Series which saw a presentation from the British Ambassador to Morocco, Simon Martin CMG, high interest in the sector has ensured that we are following up with a deep dive into the education opportunities in Morocco led by the Department of Business and Trade where representatives will provide us with an insight into the key education priorities for UK looking to do business in Morocco.
According to the World Bank, the government of Morocco have formulated an ambitious plan to boost and reform agenda that will expand quality early childhood education services, support primary and secondary education teaching practices, and strengthen learning outcomes. Morocco holds a 97% youth literacy rate and promotes a minimum of 9 years schooling up to the age of 16.
Morocco has an increasing number of students looking to attend university in the US and UK, subsequently there is an increasing demand for English teaching. As the Moroccan Government fosters the number of students studying, the education sector is looking to edtech and other means to boost quality education.
The DBT Education team in Morocco will cover topics of teacher training, English as a Medium of Studding, English Learning and Teaching, Higher Education, EdTech. Colleagues from DBT will also cover donor funded opportunities in education reform from the World Bank and USAID.
