Middle East Regional Market Opportunity Overview

Join us for an in-person briefing as we take a regional focus on the Middle East, covering the markets of Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Pakistan. We will be joined by HM Trade Commissioner for MeaP, Simon Penney, the five DIT Trade Directors and the Head of the MeaP International Markets Team. This event is being delivered in partnership with the DIT, The GREAT Campaign and the International Markets Team.

For the first time ever, Department for International Trade country directors from four markets (Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Pakistan), and the head of the Middle East and Pakistan (MEaP) International Markets Team will present essential insights into their region to businesses at the heart of the UK economy.

The International Markets Team (IMT) offers personalised, dedicated overseas trade support for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to export to markets in MEaP. The team facilitates access to trade specialists and in-market service providers across the region.

The DIT Directors and the directors will set out opportunities in their individual markets and detail how DIT can help companies overcome challenges. This event is targeted at new and existing British exporters with an interest to enter or expand across these markets. These markets face a mix of challenges, but also represent significant opportunities for UK based businesses across a range of markets The team will provide market overviews,sector-specific market opportunities and market challenges.‍

Agenda:

13:00-13:30 – Short networking reception and lunch

13:30-15:30 – Sit down panel presentations from the four DIT Trade Directors and the Head of the MEaP IMT.

15:30-15:45 - Coffee and Networking

15:45-17:00 – 1-2-1 Clinics with speakers.
