The first in a pair of region-focused sessions in partnership with UK Export Finance (UKEF), this virtual event will offer UK organisations a valuable opportunity to explore UKEF's diverse offerings, connect with key decision-makers and engage in discussions about export successes and challenges in relation to key markets in Africa and LATAC, with an introduction from Vomic Nur Shah, Head of Global Business and Client Coverage at UKEF.
As the UK's export credit agency, UKEF is dedicated to ensuring no viable export falters for lack of finance or insurance and seeks to assist UK companies in expanding into international markets through financial support and risk mitigation tools. One of our main partners in the UK government, UKEF is a crucial stakeholder for BEI members – it plays a key role in shedding light on current pipelines and government strategy in key markets and sectors for the wider business community. This webinar therefore aims to support the UK supply chain in gaining insights on UKEF's products and services and to facilitate direct connections between both sides.
This event will also showcase innovative UKEF products tailored for smaller organisations and examine the latest opportunities in export markets, along with the policy initiatives designed to remove market access barriers.
After an initial overview of markets and UKEF products by Vomic Nur Shah, François Pannetier and George Hames, the Regional Heads for Africa and LATAC respectively, will cover market coverage, key stakeholders on the ground and current opportunities or projects in play for their region before diving into newer relevant UKEF products. Attendees will then have the opportunity to engage with our UKEF colleagues through a 40-minute chaired discussion and Q&A session.
UKEF's ultimate aim is to give UK organisations the intelligence and tools to achieve export wins, and this event should provide an opportunity for UK businesses to gain valuable insight into how best to approach key markets and the support they can draw on in doing so.
