

Over the two decades before COVID-19 struck in 2020, Cambodia blossomed economically. Having reached lower middle-income status in 2015, it set its sights on attaining upper middle-income status by 2030
Over the medium term, the economy is expected to trend back to potential, growing at 6 percent. Goods and services exports and strong FDI inflows are expected to be bolstered by the newly ratified free trade agreements, a substantial increase in private and public investment, especially under public-private partnership, in key physical infrastructure such as seaports and roads that the country experienced during the COVID-19 period and beyond, and structural reforms
Dominic Williams joined the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in 2005 and has previously worked in the Embassy to France; the High Commission to Sri Lanka and the Maldives; the Embassy to Peru and the High Commission to Nigeria.
Dominic was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2011 in recognition of his work during the Sri Lankan conflict. He has worked on UN Peacekeeping, the Syria conflict and consular issues while serving in London.
