The UK–Republic of Korea trade and investment relationship continues to strengthen, creating new opportunities for UK businesses in infrastructure and other priority sectors. As one of Asia’s most innovative and globally connected economies, Korea offers significant potential for UK organisations looking to grow their presence in the region and develop long-term commercial partnerships, both in Korea but also through third-country collaboration projects, particularly with regards to Ukraine’s reconstruction.
Join us and the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) team in Seoul for a market opportunity overview focused on the practical opportunities, challenges and support available to UK organisations looking to do business in Korea. The session will explore public sector strategies and project pipelines, highlight key opportunities for UK export wins and provide insights into market access considerations. Attendees will also hear about HMG support, including government-to-government engagement and policy work to help address barriers and create the conditions for UK businesses to succeed.
The webinar will also include an introduction to the UK–Korea Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and its strategic importance, with an initial focus on collaboration in support of Ukraine’s reconstruction and critical infrastructure needs. Participants will gain a better understanding of the key enablers available to UK organisations and the opportunities emerging through UK–Korea partnership in third markets.
