Measured by GDP per head, Kuwait is the fifth richest country in the world - and is increasingly becoming an important trading partner for the United Kingdom. In the last two years, bilateral trade has doubled from £2billion to £4billion, and Kuwait - placed 83rd on the Ease of Doing Business Index - has cemented its position as a country open for business and full of opportunities for British companies.
Companies who invest in Kuwait benefit from 100% foreign ownership, ten-year tax breaks, and exemption from tax and custom duties on imports required for the purposes of direct investment, amongst other favourable conditions. Indeed, over 100 UK companies, including Shell, BP, PWC, Boots and more, operate in Kuwait.
Join us, alongside our expert panel, to discuss the benefits of doing business in Kuwait, answer key questions from members considering developing into Kuwait, and engage with discussion on the current political and economic climate in the country - where key industries include energy, food processing and construction.
The discussion will aim to answer as many questions as possible - Members are free to email questions in advance.
If you would like to organise a one-on-one, dedicated time slot with the Department for International Trade at the British Embassy in Kuwait, please contact matt@britishexpertise.org and we will be happy to facilitate this.
