International Education Strategy (IES) Briefing

We are delighted to be joined by representatives from the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) the Department for Education (DfE) and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) for an in-person discussion about the newly published International Education Strategy (IES).

This event will be a roundtable discussion with representatives from the UK government who have been closely involved in the development of the IES.  The UK government launched its International Education Strategy 2026 in March this year. The strategy sets out the government’s plans to place the UK’s education system at the heart of the UK’s global engagement. This event will facilitate dialogue and exchange between the government policy experts involved in the development of the IES and industry delivery partners.

Colleagues from DBT, DfE and FCDO will join us to discuss:

• the development and main aims of the IES;
• the role of the Education Sector Action Group (ESAG);
• priorities for delivery of the IES and for the ESAG over the next year and to 2030
