In 2019, the British government published their Green Finance Strategy - looking at transforming finance for a greener future. The report looked at how the UK can be a leader in green finance, how the government can empower private finance to engage in clean growth - and more.
According to a report from the Global Sustainable Investment Alliance in 2019, funds held in sustainable or green investments were up 34% since 2016 - a huge leap. In an article for Bloomberg, Annie Massa writes that though politicians might still be debating climate change - the private sector, including investors, has been decisive.
