As part of British Expertise International’s activities surrounding the Education World Forum (EWF), join us on 21st May for a roundtable on foundational learning in Ghana, featuring the Minister of Education, H.E. Haruna Iddrisu. The session will provide a forum for dialogue on how to support access to quality education at the school level across Ghana (primary and secondary). Ghana is among many countries experiencing a learning crisis, making it essential to improve foundational learning and equip the young population to support the country’s future workforce and economic growth.
This session will explore how Ghana is promoting foundational learning as a key driver of educational outcomes and economic prosperity, the challenges to achieving nationwide access to quality basic learning, and how international knowledge exchange can help overcome these challenges. The discussion will also examine which skills should be prioritised for teacher training and approaches to the inclusion of vulnerable and hard-to-reach groups, including children with disabilities, girls, those lacking access to technology, and those at greatest risk from climate disasters.
This roundtable will provide the Ministry with the opportunity to engage with UK companies interested in Ghana, and will also provide a platform for UK organisations to gain market insights and demonstrate their expertise.
