The effect of Covid-19 on education systems has been devastating - and could yet get worse. However, despite the issues that many in the sector have faced - a ‘new normal’ of remote working, improved technology, greater flexibility in education practices and more could provide opportunities to boost the education industry to new heights.
As an article on the Global Partnership for Education website puts it: “COVID-19… presents an opportunity to transcend the ongoing challenges, shake up the system, and build back better.” The GPE notes a number of ways to ‘build back better,’ including building a unified investment case and investing in early years education.
British Expertise has brought together a panel of key education stakeholders, with the aim of understanding the key ways they are supporting education systems, sharing BEI member experiences and discussing ways in which support can be improved. The focus will be on the key blockages hampering Covid-19 recovery, and workable, pragmatic solutions that the education industry can enable as the sector begins to build out of Covid-19.
This panel event will kick-start a series of roundtables, looking to feed in to BEI’s Education Working Group’s positioning paper, through which education ministries from key regions will be engaged.
This event will be held on Zoom.
The discussion will aim to answer as many questions as possible - Members are free to email questions in advance.
