Join us at British Expertise International’s offices on Thursday 19th January 2023 as we host an in-person event and reception with Tim Dillon, Agent General for Victoria to the United Kingdom and Commissioner for Victoria to Europe and Israel, for a session on doing business and sectoral opportunities in the state of Victoria, Australia. Please arrive from 16:00 for a 16:30 start. This will be followed by a networking reception from 18:00-19:30.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about Global Victoria, the Government of Victoria's trade facilitation agency and gateway to global economies and communities, who have the largest international trade and investment office network in any Australian state or territory.
The Victorian Government Trade and Investment Office currently have 100 projects ongoing in infrastructure, with a lean toward sustainability as they envision a circular economy within the infrastructure sector. Investment and expertise are needed in order to aid them in their renewables targets and a 50% carbon emissions reduction by 2030. Join us for an event full of insights into potential opportunities for collaboration for UK business in the state of Victoria. Specifically, we will cover opportunities in energy efficiency, transport, social infrastructure and skills for infrastructure.
Tim Dillon took up his appointment as the Agent General for Victoria to the United Kingdom and Commissioner for Europe and Israel in 2020. Based in London, Tim represents the State Government of Victoria’s interests in the United Kingdom, Europe and Israel, overseeing the Victorian Government Trade and Investment Offices in London and Frankfurt, and representation in Israel. Prior to this appointment, Tim served as Commissioner for Victoria to Greater China (Shanghai, China 2014-2020), South East Asia (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 2009-2014) and North Asia (Tokyo, Japan 2004-2009).
