Climate Change Networking Evening

Join us for an evening of thought-provoking conversation, potential new partnerships and the chance to meet with members of our Climate Change Working Group. With this event being hosted one week prior to COP27, we are providing a space for those of us unable to attend the COP to have the necessary conversations at this critical time.

We are delighted to announce that our key-note speaker will be Jane Wilkinson, who has over 18 years’ experience advising governments and organisations on strategies to implement climate action. Not only has Jane served as the director of climate finance for the Australian Department of Climate Finance, but she also coordinated Australia’s first international climate finance policies and led negotiation teams on climate finance, trade, and carbon markets.

Playing an influential role in the design of the climate finance framework, including the Green Climate Fund, Jane also led research programmes at Climate Policy Initiative, alongside co-founding the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance, mobilising more than 2.5 billion dollars for climate action in developing countries.

Jane is currently Head of Climate Change and Environment Practice at Abt Britain. In this capacity, she also leads Abt’s engagement with the Climate Change Working Group.

Jane will be joining us to speak about her experience of working in the ever-developing climate sector. She will discuss what we as individuals, as professionals and as businesses can do to play our role in mitigating and adapting to climate change, as we face this crisis together.

Our Climate Change Working Group was created in 2021 to provide a platform for BEI members to network, share information and collectively engage stakeholders. Initially created to critically engage with the UK’s hosting of the COP26 in November 2021, the Working Group has continued to focus on the key thematic areas of Resilience, Adaptation, Sustainability and Climate Finance.
