As humanity and the delicately balanced ecosystem we live in undergoes rapid and uncertain changes, a crucial window of opportunity is open for institutions, governments and organisations to work collaboratively to deliver programmes that prevent, mitigate and adapt to Climate Change. In recognition of this, British Expertise International formed a Climate Change Working Group that is composed of cross-sector organisations working across multiple climate related fields. We are now delighted to present to key stakeholders and the wider BEI membership our first three reports, drawing on the critical expertise of our members.
Since the formation of the BEI Climate Change Working Group in January of this year, members with a diverse range of experience have demonstrated world-leading thought leadership, showcased innovative solutions to climate related challenges and engaged with key figures and stakeholders across multiple industries. Increasingly, members throughout the year recognised that as a collective, they represented some of the leading private-sector voices in the climate related space, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, healthcare, water and development consultancies.
Creating three focused sub-groups (Nature-based Solutions, Built Environment and Extreme Weather and Climate Resilience), they have each now produced reports that collectively informs and outlines some of the crucial problems in their field, designed a unique framework that helps stakeholders understand the solutions and showcases members expertise and capabilities in being able to provide these solutions.
Join us as we host a launch event in Grafton Street, where each of the sub-group authors will present their reports to key stakeholders from across the climate related sectors. Attendees are invited to take part in a networking session with relevant stakeholders (with drinks and canapes) following on from the presentation and will have the opportunity to discuss themed design projects dedicated to the sub-group topics with the curator of the exhibition, Sean T Ross, by our sister company, D Contemporary.
