For thirty years, the UK has been the largest investor in Azerbaijan. We have a relationship of trust and our expertise is highly valued. In the year of COP29, this connection is stronger than ever. The upcoming UN Climate Change Conference will serve as a catalyst to showcase the UK's hands-on experience throughout the region. The UK can help Azerbaijan in strengthening its climate action and create a long-lasting COP legacy. Key to this is sustainable infrastructure, which British business are well-placed to support.
Azerbaijan is enhancing its infrastructure, focusing on capital Baku, and its regions - Nakhchivan, Ganja, Sheki and more - to revitalize its Silk Road legacy and Trans-Caspian International Transport Route potential. The UK's expertise in Design and Architecture, Digital Construction, Modern Methods of Construction, and Clean Buildings is well recognised, with the British Embassy in Baku actively promoting these strengths to seize opportunities.
UK organisations operating in the infrastructure and engineering sector have a unique opportunity to join a UK Trade Mission to Azerbaijan, organised by BEI in partnership with the British Embassy in Baku, and participate in the DBT sponsored UK Pavilion at the Caspian’s largest infrastructure exhibition – Baku Build.
Baku Build is a great opportunity for UK infrastructure and engineering organisations to meet with senior government and private-sector stakeholders in Azerbaijan as well as participants from the region, particularly those from Central Asia and the Middle East.
Our trade mission will start on Monday 14th October with an evening B2B networking event in partnership with the British Chamber of Commerce Azerbaijan (BCCA); delegates will have the opportunity to participate in Baku Build between 15th and 17th October, and further benefit from additional events and meetings organised by the British Embassy throughout the week. This will include a networking reception at the British Ambassador’s Residence and a bespoke programme of meetings and introductions tailored to delegates’ objectives and interests. Delegates will receive pre- and post-mission follow up support from British Expertise International.
Places are limited to ensure each participating company receives our full attention. Participation in the British Pavilion is free of charge. Delegates will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. British Expertise International will charge an administration fee of £300+VAT for each participant.
For further information and to receive the application form, please get in touch with Sasha Barnes at ab@britishexpertise.org. The administration fee will be payable upon signing the application form.
