Join us as we host ADB’s Director of Macroeconomic Research, Abdul Abiad as he takes us through the key highlights from the report launched last month. Insights will include, the strength and drivers of recoveries across the region, and perspectives on the key risks weighing on the region's outlook. As well as insights on policy responses, and potential long-term effects of the global headwinds, including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Fed tightening, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Asian Development Outlook analyzes economic and development issues in developing countries in Asia. This includes forecasting the inflation and gross domestic product growth rates of countries throughout the region, including China and India. According to the ADB President, “… developing Asia’s recovery remains incomplete, and progression its development agenda must accelerate. Public spending to counter the harsh effects of the COVID-19 pandemic has narrowed fiscal space for the region's economies—even as greater spending is needed to meet the Sustainable Development Goals.”
