On Tuesday 20th August, UK organisations have a unique opportunity to meet with a senior delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as part of their UK Roadshow programme. The ADB delegation will include the Director General for the Sector Group, Senior Directors and directors for five sectors, as well as ADB’s UK board member. The following sectors teams’ directors will share their sector's strategy and main opportunities:
Our overarching theme for the event is ‘Dialogues for Innovation in Development’, and participants will have the opportunity to discuss a range of cross-cutting themes with the ADB’s sector teams:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) envisions a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific, while sustaining its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty in the region. ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
ADB maximizes the development impact of its assistance by facilitating policy dialogues, providing advisory services, and mobilizing financial resources through cofinancing operations that tap official, commercial, and export credit sources.
The event will start with registration and light breakfast from 09:30, followed by sector/thematic sessions and roundtables until 15:30 (including a networking lunch). The full agenda will be shared with attendees in due course.
