Join us for a webinar discussion on AI and Innovation in ID, with speakers from Accenture Development Partnerships and UCL Consultants. The panel will offer insights into the potential and risks of Gen AI in a development context, as well as the role of Research and Development (R&D) in ensuring innovation in this space.
The UK’s goals for digitalisation and innovation, as outlined in the White Paper, emphasise a collective global effort to mobilise scientific expertise, research, and innovation. The main objectives of this are to help countries bypass carbon-intensive stages of industrial development, leverage innovation and technology to combat poverty, generate employment, and foster sustainable economic growth. AI is a key tool to support these changes but comes with many challenges and considerations which need to be taken into account.
Our speakers at this event will explore the potential and risks of Gen AI in a development context, specifically focusing on the inclusion of hard to reach and marginalised groups. The event will examine the importance of Research and Development, and how the research infrastructure of universities interfaces with partners in a development context.
