British Expertise International (BEI) hosts a ministerial delegation from the Ministry of Roads and Highways (MoRH), Ghana

Wednesday 18th March 2026, London UK – British Expertise International (BEI) hosts a ministerial delegation from the Ministry of Roads and Highways (MoRH), Ghana.

BEI welcomed Ghana’s Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, Hon. Alhassan S. Suhuyini alongside colleagues from the Ministry for a roundtable with key UK service providers across the infrastructure sector. The discussion provided the Ministry with the opportunity to engage with UK organisations with an interest in Ghana, as well as providing a platform for UK organisations to gain market insights and demonstrate their expertise.

Deputy Minister for the MoRH, Hon. Alhassan S. Suhuyini shared opening remarks highlighting Ghana’s economic history and how the current government is prioritising investment in infrastructure to support the country's long-term economic resilience.

The session discussed the approaches taken by the Roads and Highways authorities, with a particular focus on road construction, transport systems, tolling systems, and road safety and operations. It also highlighted pre-existing UK-Ghana engagement with presentations from the UK Department for Business and Trade, UK Export Finance, the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office on how UK infrastructure expertise has enabled the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIFF) and the Green Cities Infrastructure and Energy Programme (GCEIP).
