Join British Expertise International on Tuesday 4th July from 12:00 – 15:00 for an in-person roundtable with Nick Dyer, Director General, Humanitarian and Development. Nick will provide an overview of the UK’s International Development Strategy (IDS) and address the key priorities for the UK in delivering humanitarian aid.

Nick Dyer is the Director General, Humanitarian and Development at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The Foreign Secretary appointed Nick Dyer as the UK’s first Special Envoy for Famine Prevention and Humanitarian Affairs on 2 September 2020. Nick Dyer was the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Department for International Development (DFID) from March until August 2020. Before taking on that role, Nick was the Director General for Economic Development and International. His previous positions within DFID including:

As Director General for Humanitarian and Development, Nick’s key responsibilities include delivering the UK government’s International Development Strategy and act as the FCDO lead for global themes and programmes on global health, education, gender and equalities, humanitarian, migration conflict, stabilisation and mediation, and international finance including the Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs).

Attend this closed roundtable to gain valuable insights into the future direction of the UK’s International Development Strategy, and the key priorities for delivering humanitarian aid today.
