DAR CONSULTANTS (PENSPEN) LIMITED WIN OWNER'S ENGINEER CONTRACT FOR NABUCCO GAS PIPELINE

 

Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GmbH whose shareholders are Botas, Bulgargaz-Holding, Transgaz, MOL and OMV has awarded a contract to Penspen Limited (DAR Consultants UK Limited), the international oil and gas consultancy based in the UK, to undertake the role of Owner's Engineers to assist in the setting up and then to manage the local FEED contractors in Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey.

 

Penspen's scope of services includes the overall management of the local FEED contractors, the review of the technical feasibility study, route confirmation, preparation of the design basis, hydraulic studies, overall SCADA and telecommunications, GIS and preparation of tender packages for the next phase.

 

The planned Nabucco natural gas pipeline constitutes a dedicated gas transit and transportation pipeline from Turkey to Austria via Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary. The aim is to create a pipeline system for natural gas transmission from different sources in the Caspian Sea Region and the Middle East to Central Europe.
