The Cambridge University Hospital Strategic Masterplan (CUHSM) is the framework for a £2.7 billion investment at the heart of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
Project Description
Devereux Architects was the team leader that prepared a masterplan, with Allies and Morrison, for the Hospital and the wider, associated ‘Cambridge Biomedical Campus’ (CBC). The Masterplan allows for the Hospital to double in size from 28ha to 60ha over a 20 year period, within the 72ha campus. The £2.7 billion investment will be from both the public and private sectors excluding the commercial areas of the CBC. The Cambridge region is a Growth Area and it is expected that 47 000 new homes will be built in the region up to 2016 and 70,000 new jobs created in the period up to 2021.
