Project Summary
Davis Langdon provided a combined cost management and project management service for the overall masterplan of Dubai Waterfront - an unprecedented project at an unimaginable scale!
Project Description
Spanning 100sqkm, the scheme is comparable in size to the modern city of Milton Keynes, and bigger than Manhattan and Beirut
The vision behind the scheme is the creation of a world-class destination for residents, visitors and businesses in the world’s fastest growing city. This ambitious development is organised around key components of the master plan, encompassing a new downtown Madinat Al Arab, which is anchored by one of the world’s tallest buildings, Al Burj.
Davis Langdon provided a combined Cost Management and Project Management service for the overall masterplan of the scheme.
THE RESULTS
The Dubai Waterfront comprises a balanced mix of residential, retail, hotel, office and industrial offerings, in addition to common areas reserved for educational, cultural, health and recreational purposes.
Located 35km south west of Dubai, bordering Abu Dhabi, on the last remaining coastal waterfront of the Emirate, the Dubai Waterfront will serve as the primary entrance to the Arabian Canal.
