Project Description
EMERGING MARKETS GROUP (EMG) LIMITED
The Public Sector Accounting Reform Project, initiated in 1999, provides assistance in the development of Government Accounting Policies; assistance and training in the application and usage of internal financial controls; technical support and equipment to upgrade the existing government information systems; and accounting training and support complementing the upgraded computer information system.
The task order was divided into three phases to reflect the dynamic environment in the Federation and the RS.
During the first phase our team assessed BiH financial management at the entity and state level, developed a work plan, and prepared a Memorandum of Understanding among the recognised government agencies and international donor agencies supporting this reform effort.
The second phase provided hardware, software, and training for the use of the new technology, accounting, budgeting, and internal controls.
The third phase provided simultaneous implementation support in both entities.
For this project EMG Ltd was highly commended in the Small Consultancy (B) category of the British Expertise International Awards, 2006.
