Project Summary

The interior fit-out of the stunning Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar.

Project Description

MIVAN LIMITED

Mivan Depa Contracting LLC overcame significant cultural, environmental and construction challenges to successfully deliver the c.$60 million interior fit-out of the stunning Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar. The works included the manufacture and installation of over 380 display cases, some with glass panes over 5 x 4 metres in size. Mivan Depa built and procured many unique elements to a very tight timescale.

The Museum opens to the public this year at an overall cost of around $300m. At 45,000m2 it is the World's largest Islamic Museum, and will attract scholars, academics and visitors from all over the globe.

For this project Mivan Limited was a finalist in the British Expertise International Awards 2006,
