GMW Architects is a client-focused architectural and interior design practice responsible for award winning projects both in the UK and abroad. Based in London, with offices in Istanbul and Doha, the practice is skilled in the design and delivery of mixed use, master planning and urban design projects as well as one-off new buildings, refurbishments and fit-outs in a wide range of project sectors.

Providing professional services to support all stages of the building project, we offer vision and inspiration and, as design team leaders, we are well versed in developing the project brief, consultations of all kinds and design management, as well as co-ordination of the whole design team, bringing together input from cost, engineering and other specialist consultants.

We have the experience and creative energy to formulate and communicate innovative but deliverable proposals. We provide a service that clearly identifies our clients' ambitions at the outset, sustains a creative but methodical thought process through all stages of the work and arrives at the design solution most appropriate to the specific project brief.

The partners of GMW Architects draw on a continuity of experience of over 60 years. The practice sustains its energy and constantly renews its approach in the light of the social and technological changes that affect the art and practice of architecture. GMW is a community of designers, technicians and project co-ordinators who are loyal to the principles of teamwork and who strive for excellence in the built product.

In addition to architectural and interior design services, we offer the following support services: Site evaluation and analysis, Building evaluation and audit, Building appraisals, Feasibility studies, Master planning, Space planning, Project management and Compliance monitoring. GMW Architects, since 1991, have been certified by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance Ltd as a Quality Assured firm under ISO 9001:2008. GMW Architects are also certified for Environmental Management under ISO 14001:2004.

ACTIVITIES

Architecture, Planning and Design: Complete feasibility, briefing, master planning, interior and space planning, and design services are available for a wide range of developments and buildings. These reflect virtually every building type including commercial, residential, educational, military, leisure, recreational and industrial projects.

Management and design skills refined over more than 60 years in conjunction with the latest computer technology applied to production drawings enable GMW to analyse, organise, and co-ordinate its work, whether entire projects, strategic overviews, or project management.

Planning services include strategic, regional and urban planning studies, feasibility and viability studies, planning applications, appeals and consultancy.

In addition GMW has the experience to draft and reconcile construction regulations in developing countries, investigations, remedial reports and provide expert advice on litigation.

Interior Design is a service which can be integrated with or provided totally separately from our architectural work for the renovation of existing or fitting out of buildings, accommodation audits and image building.
