Harewelle International Limited was established in 2006 as the parent company of the Harewelle Group, formed following the acquisition of ULG Northumbrian Limited by PMTC International. This brought together the skills of two of the UK's most experienced and respected consultancy companies providing consulting services in the area of overseas development aid and supported by a network of overseas offices and associates. With experience dating back over 35 years and in nearly 90 countries the companies have earned first class reputations with government departments, NGOs, major funding agencies and, most importantly, the local communities in which they work. This has been based on a genuine commitment to sustainable development and poverty alleviation coupled with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Harewelle's mission is 'to enable aid agencies to manage and deliver programmes and projects efficiently, effectively and ethically, offering service and support particularly in the areas of people management and development.'
The company draws on a network of carefully selected, experienced specialists who have a proven track record of working within their fields of expertise. This is backed up by an in-house capability, both regionally and in the UK, which has many years of experience in working in the field of overseas development aid and which is able to guarantee technical backstopping and quality assurance of the highest level to ensure complete client satisfaction.
The Harewelle Group has three regional associate companies based in South Asia (Bangladesh) and Southern Africa (Lesotho, Zambia and Zimbabwe). In addition to supporting Harewelle International on a regional basis these offices provide a range of services to other international companies wishing to benefit from the cooperation of a local national or regional partner. These services include local logistical and management support; recruitment of local consultants; local representation; and support in tender preparation and submission. Our local offices have a network of local and regional associate consultants in a range of sectors and have an in-depth knowledge of the markets in which they operate.
Harewelle International is ISO 9001: 2000 accredited throughout all company offices. Emphasis is placed on providing service of the highest quality and this is monitored by accredited auditors in accordance with the standards set by ISO 9001. Partners in development are assured of quality programme management and implementation. The company has the UK Department of Trade and Industry accreditation under the Investor in People Award which recognises commitment to ongoing staff development and training on a company-wide basis and is a corporate member of the Association of Project Managers and the UK Anti-corruption Forum.
