MYCCI is an established business support organisation with a reputation for providing quality business services on a local, national and international basis.

The company is supported by a team of experienced business consultants, counsellors and trainers. It promotes and supports the achievements and ambitions of UK enterprises. The Chamber provides a comprehensive range of business and trade related services including a strong policy arm representing collective and individual interests, which when combined, form the purpose of the Chamber.

The Chamber is a non-profit making organisation totally accountable to member businesses.


Activities

MYCCI offers a comprehensive range of services to businesses of all sizes including export training, market research and market development, business broking, translation services and export documentation.

Consultancy:
Through the work of experienced in house marketing consultants the Chamber has acquired the expertise and competence to successfully implement a diverse range of projects, ranging from SME development to institution building and human resource development. The Chamber provides specialist marketing support for a growing number of major international companies and smaller exporters alike, assisting them with market entry and stimulating growth.

Trade Missions:
MYCCI manages a comprehensive Trade Missions Programme supported by the DTI and the European Commission. The Chamber has extensive experience of organising missions to Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Asia, North America and Western Europe.

International Seminars and Conferences:
To maximise the international trade opportunities available, the Chamber works in close co-operation with the DTI and International Aid agencies to promote a regular rolling programme of Conferences and Seminars for both member and non-member companies.



TYPICAL PROJECTS
BULGARIA - Providing technical know-how assistance on the restructuring and development of the Romanian and Bulgarian Chamber network. Activities included training and business planning using the new network of Chambers to cascade information down into the emerging enterprise economy.
POLAND - Providing a programme of training in business know how, strategic planning, middle management development and specialist training for the National Polish Chamber of Commerce, the Polish Import and Export Chamber of Commerce and several regional Chambers.
POLAND - Stimulating the development of SMEs in Eastern Poland. Working alongside the British Council and British Coal Enterprise the project accelerated economic development through; the consolidation and development of existing business support services; the provision of new instruments to tackle the constraints for growth and the development of effective supply chain networks
GHANA - Promoting cultural, educational and technical co-operation between Britain and Ghana. The project provides practical training for senior and middle management through a programme of lectures, seminars, workshops and industrial attachments.
RUSSIA - Providing technical assistance to the Leningrad Oblast's Small and Medium Enterprise Development Department (SMEDD) in the design and implementation of successful policies to promote and support the growth of SMEs in the Oblast. MYCCI organised inward study tours, advised on how to involve the local business communities in policy making and making the SME Business Centres sustainable.
SOMALIA - Development of the business support network in North Eastern Somalia. The development of such a network built upon key business support instruments, encouraged business and commerce and strengthen institutional links.
SOMALIA - Following the previous rehabilitation programme, MYCCI provided focused support and technical assistance to develop two internationally recognised regional Chambers of Commerce in "Somaliland" (Hargeisa) and "Puntland" (Bosasso), and the Association of Farmers in the Shabelle Valley, South Somalia.
BULGARIA - Working with partners to establish the Rousse Management Business and Development Centre. The RMBD will improve the overall competitiveness of targeted small and medium sized enterprises, providing easy access to training resources for the wider community in Rousse. Specific measures include the training of trainers, business skills development and sustainable institutional capacity building.
ROMANIA - Strengthening institutional links between 2 EU Chambers (Brussels CCI and MYCCI) and the Galati CCI and assisting in the consolidation of the Galati Chamber's activities towards convergence within the framework of the Single Market.
LITHUANIA - Working as consultants to the Small and Medium sized Development Agency and Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Crafts and Industry. The project seeks to strengthen regional development and intermediary organisations in the provision of support services to SMEs in Lithuania.
HUNGARY/LITHUANIA - An extensive and comprehensive training initiative to prepare the countries for their accession to the European Union. Provision of training to civil servants to manage the EU Structural and Cohesion Funds mechanisms from their date of accession and in the meantime, to prepare for the management of the pre-accession financial instruments.
BRAZIL, ARGENTINA, MEXICO - Supporting the AL-Invest Programme which supports the partnership between European and Latin American enterprises operating in a wide range of technological sectors.
BRAZIL - Providing a series of targeted services to exporting SMEs who have not previously exported to Brazil, to enable them to obtain a long standing and positive network of business contacts in the country.
PAN-EUROPEAN, Media Into Textiles - Linking ICT with business and skills needs of companies and their employees within the textile industry across Member and Associate Member States of the EU. The project will raise awareness of the importance of using ICT applications to increase business competitiveness and to assist textile SMEs with their ICT implementations.
PAN-EUROPEAN, Training of Export Trainers - Design, develop and test a training of export trainers module which will prepare participants to deliver a two day ' Profitable Exporting for Smaller Businesses' course to suitable SMEs within their regions.
PAN-EUROPEAN, Intercase - Developing a collection of detailed field based, decision oriented case studies to train SME managers how to deal with change management. To increase the transnationality and accessibility of distance learning, an Internet Discussion Centre will be established to disseminate project findings.
PAN-EUROPEAN, TEGG - Developing a vocational training package to raise language skills for existing and future employees in the forestry industry, thus increasing staff mobility, communication and co-operation.
PAN-EUROPEAN, NordNet - targeting rural areas within the North Sea regions. Through the use of modern video conferencing technology, the project aims to promote remote education and skills training in order to combat unemployment and rural depopulation, and to establish a transnational network for SMEs to exchange information and explore trade opportunities.
UK - Netparkone - targeted at SMEs in West Yorkshire, the project encompasses an on-line business directory (www.netparkone.co.uk) allied to multi-media and Internet technology, which focuses on Enabling local purchase and supply.
