COMMERCIAL:
We advise on all aspects of the development, construction and services processes.

Procurement Strategy - We are fully conversant with the various methods of procurement from traditional, design and build and EPC models to more innovative partnering and services approaches. We have an in-depth knowledge of the various UK and international standard forms of contract including the various JCT, ICE, MF/1, IChemE forms, the New Engineering Contract (ECC) and the FIDIC series. The team also offers authoritative advice on EU procurement issues.

Contract Drafting and Negotiating - We are experienced in drafting and negotiating the full range of construction contracts, services agreements, professional appointments, associated warranties and development/ funding agreements, as well as bonds and guarantees typically used in the industry.

PPP/PFI - We have extensive experience of working on PPP/PFI projects, whether advising the public sector authority, consortia, their funders or sub-contractors from construction through to facilities management.

Construction Financing/Property Investment/Due Diligence - We review construction documentation for our clients and offer sensible commercial advice on any pitfalls in their potential investment or funding.

Mediation/ADR - In keeping with our aim to resolve disputes at the earliest possible opportunity, we give early consideration to the appropriate dispute resolution method best suited to a speedy settlement. A number of our partners are practising mediators.
