WATERMAN INTERNATIONAL

Waterman International is the overseas arm of Waterman Partnership Holdings Plc. The practice has been in existence since 1952, and has an established presence in the UK with offices throughout the country. A listing on the London Stock Exchange was achieved in 1988.

The Company's core business is to provide professional services in the field of structural, civil, building services and all aspects of environmental engineering. Following structured expansion at home and overseas a broad based capability now exists to offer the following services:

• Project Management, Process Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Procurement, Construction Supervision and Commissioning, Environmental Audits and Impact Studies.

During the 1980's the Company introduced fastbuild techniques into the UK, substantially advancing commercial building construction over the last decade.

The Company continues to develop new innovations in construction design and feels it is able to meet the demands of all its clients in providing a high quality, cost effective service within a pre-agreed timescale. The Company has extensive computer facilities for design and draughting including AutoCAD systems with three dimensional modelling capabilities.

ACTIVITIES
Buildings:
Structural and Building Services for new build and refurbishment of all types of buildings, including offices, retail, industrial, hotels, leisure, hospitals, rural or city centre urban regeneration projects.

Healthcare:
Structural design for new hospitals and refurbishment of existing buildings. Design of all mechanical and electrical systems in hospitals including intensive care units, theatres and maternity units. Design of systems to manage the disposal of clinical waste.

Waste Management and Contaminated Land:
Environmental impact studies, waste management engineering, contaminated land assessment and reclamation, restoration and re-development, waste to energy and re-cycling strategies.

Water Treatment:
Design of systems to treat contaminated water for safe discharge. This includes treatment of waste from tanneries, industrial factories, abattoirs, breweries and chemical plants.

Airports:
Design of new Terminal buildings for major airports. Refurbishment of existing facilities both landside and airside to increase capacity and incorporate new technology.

Industrial:
Civil, structural and mechanical handling for light and heavy industries including power stations, desalination, dairies, copper works, pharmaceutical, defence equipment manufacturing and petro-chemical.

Highway and Traffic Engineering:
Traffic studies, highway and bridge design including maintenance inspections and remedial works, traffic management reports.

Railways:
Permanent way design, stations, car parks and development decks spanning station tracks.
