Aetheric Engineering is an independent Telecommunications consultancy, formed in 1989 and specialising in Satellite Communications, Spacecraft Technologies and Communications Regulation. We offer support and advice throughout all project phases, from feasibility and design studies, through procurement and project management, to installation, commissioning and operation of telecommunications networks. We also support the establishment of effective Communications Regulatory Organizations, and capacity building for existing organizations.

ACTIVITIES

Design, Implementation and Operation:
Feasibility and design studies, business planning, preparation of specifications and procurement documentation, evaluation of proposals and tenders, project management, supervision and witnessing of in-factory and on-site activities, in-orbit testing of satellites, system and network operation, training (formal and on-the-job) frequency coordination and access planning.

Regulatory Affairs:
Initial staffing, establishment of processes and procedures, capacity building for national staff.

TYPICAL PROJECTS
ALGERIA - design, procurement, commissioning of network for international telecommunications operator and Internet Service Provider

ANGOLA - procurement, installation and commissioning of a multiple earth station telecommunications network

COTE D'IVOIRE - assistance with negotiation of financial and operating agreements towards establishment of initial RASCOM space segment

GREAT BRITAIN - design, project management, testing, commissioning of several satellite communications teleports.

GREAT BRITAIN - design, project management, testing, commissioning of a world-wide satellite operations system (facilities in CANADA, CHINA, ITALY, and USA), including ground stations and communications network to control centres. Similar activities in SOUTH KOREA and THAILAND.

GREAT BRITAIN - management of design studies leading to definition of subscriber terminals for next generation satellite communications network. Also performed Type Approval assessments for existing terminals
