South Korea: - Global Sports Projects Mission

UK Trade & Investment, Global Sports Projects Team invites UK companies to take part in a Mission being organised to explore the opportunities emerging from major sporting events due to be hosted in South Korea over the next six years.

Background
The mission will explore opportunities for UK companies emerging from:

• Winter Olympics 2018 in Pyeongchang
• World Student Games 2015 in Gwangju
• Asian Games 2014 in Incheon
• Autumn FI Grand Prix 2012 in South Jella Province
• Emerging bids for future major events

Opportunities for UK companies from these events and others should include: legacy planning; low carbon solutions and green technologies (transportation, building design, materials); cost control; advanced engineering; project management; contracts; cutting edge IT; environmental planning; risk management, insurance; construction management; marketing, ticketing, broadcasting, hospitality and catering, and partnering for these events and other projects in third countries.

The programme is under development. We expect to include Round table meetings with the organisers of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Gwangju World Student Games and Incheon Asian Games. We may also include a seminar in the British Embassy.
