The Director of CATBIG, Nigel Peters, was invited to visit Armenia & Georgia by the British Ambassadors from 21-25 March to identify the range of business opportunities available for UK companies. Nigel has now written a detailed report which he will present at the meeting. Nigel will be joined by the British Ambassador to Armenia, Charles Lonsdale, and the British Ambassador to Georgia, Judith Gough. We welcome back Charles, who last spoke to us in December 2010, and extend a warm welcome to Judith, who will be speaking at a CATBIG meeting for the first time. Judith Gough took up her post as HM Ambassador to Georgia in September 2010 and was instrumental in appointing a locally-engaged commercial officer, so that for the first time in a number of years the Embassy is once again able to offer support to British companies looking to work in Georgia. Judith has a commercial background herself, having started her career as a management consultant for Ernst & Young. We are very pleased to announce that the meeting will be sponsored by Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) who have recently launched a new route from London Gatwick to Tbilisi via a short transit in Kiev. UIA have very kindly donated 2 return business class tickets from London to Tbilisi, and these will drawn from those present at the meeting. British Expertise Members: FREE |
