CATBIG: General Meeting

The Central Asia & Transcaucasus Business Information Group (CATBIG) is a business forum that meets to provide an opportunity for companies to hear about recent developments (both economic, commercial and political) in the 8 CATBIG countries of: Armenia; Azerbaijan; Georgia; Kazakhstan; Kyrgyzstan; Tajikistan; Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The next general meeting will be at the British Expertise offices on Tuesday 12 April from 1500-1700 followed by networking drinks, and will be chaired as usual by Peter Lindsay from Mabey Bridge. Speakers will include:

• UK Trade & Investment - regional overview by Michael Essex
• Uzbek-British Trade & Industry Council - Dr Hartley Booth OBE
• Nabucco Gas Pipeline: "New Gas for Europe, New Markets for Caspian Countries" - Neil McMillan CMG, RWE Supply & Trading GmbH
• Mongolia - a new country for CATBIG. Oyuna Choijilsuren, UK Representative of the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce & speaker from the Mongolian Embassy to the UK
• Tajikistan - Shamsullo Sakhibov, Trade Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UK
• Visa & travel update for the CATBIG region - Barry Martin

PRIZE DRAW!! Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) will give a prize of 2 return business class tickets from London to Tbilisi (via Kiev). The draw will take place during networking drinks at the end of the meeting, from the business cards of those attending in person only.
