The European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) was established in 1991 to support the creation of market economies in the region following the collapse of communist regimes, and today works in 29 countries from central Europe to central Asia.
On Monday 4 October at 1500 we will meet the Property & Tourism sector team. This team primarily invest in high quality commercial real estate - including hotels, offices, retail centres - but also in the tourism industry. EBRD supports projects through a range of debt and equity instruments.
The team uses consultants for due diligence work, and are also a useful source of information on major private sector investors in the region.
They are particularly keen to support projects that transfer technology, knowledge and management skills; develop local building material sectors; and support environmental urban regeneration projects.
