The Central Asia & Transcaucasus Business Interest Group (CATBIG) is a business forum that meets to provide an opportunity for companies to hear about recent developments (both economic, commercial and political), in the 8 CATBIG countries of: Armenia; Azerbaijan; Georgia; Kazakhstan; Kyrgyz Republic; Tajikistan; Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The meeting will start with coffee and registration from 1030-1100, and will be chaired, as usual, by Peter Lindsay. This time we will have an Azerbaijan focus due to kind sponsorship from The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS). Speakers on Azerbaijan will include representatives from AFB Bank; SOCAR; RWE and CH2M, with an introduction from Lord Laird, Chairman of the TEAS Advisory Council.
Speakers on the rest of the CATBIG region will include representatives from: UK Trade & Investment; CDC (Intelligent Buildings); Open Central Asia Magazine (Tourism Potential of Central Asia) and Barry Martin (Visa and travel update). The meeting will end with a networking lunch from 1300.
