Members' lunch with the Lord Mayor Designate (subject to election)

Michael Bear is an engineer by training, and Chief Executive of Spitalfields Development Group, as well as a non-executive Director of member company Arup. This background is unusual for a Lord Mayor; because of it, Michael wants to explore how he can help promote professional services more widely than has been the case up to now. We strongly support this intention, as the Lord Mayor creates access to the top levels of government during his programme of overseas visits, to the benefit of his accompanying business delegation. We intend to work with him and with the Mansion House, to encourage invitations to senior people from our member companies to join him on these visits, and to encourage a broader focus for the visits.

The purpose of this lunch is for you to tell Michael Bear how he can best serve our professional services community, as part of his preparation to become Lord Mayor.
