African Development: Meet the Invest in Africa Partners

Date: Monday, 04 September 2017
Time: 1200
Venue: British Expertise International, 23 Grafton Street, London W1S 4EY

BEI, in partnership with Invest in Africa (IIA), a cross-sector organisation that works with leading investors, is giving you the opportunity to meet their Global Partners and hear how they develop long term solutions to tackle the challenges of operation in Africa. Our first networking meeting in March proved successful, so we are again pleased to host IIA's Partners for a networking buffet lunch. You will have the chance to introduce yourself and your company's interests in Africa, and to listen to Gareth Thomas, Director at Good Corporation speak on the "implications of increased transparency for companies in African markets."

CEOs, CFOs and Directors of IIA's Global Partners will be in attendance including: Tullow Oil; Ecobank; Trace International; Stewart Investors; Equity Bank; EY; Clyde & Co and Kina Advisory.

Invest in Africa (IIA) is a not-for-profit organisation with the vision to create thriving African economies. Working in partnership with both private and public sector companies, IIA more effectively identifies and tackles the challenges of doing business in Africa, delivering more impactful and cost-efficient solutions.

They do this in 4 ways:

  1. Creating sustainable cross-sector partnerships
  2. Empowering local enterprise
  3. Championing private sector-led growth
  4. Simplifying doing business in Africa

In Ghana and Kenya IIA works with its Partners to deliver the African Partner Pool, an online market place that simplifies procurement processes, connecting them to 1500+ validated local SMEs from across all sectors. IIA also runs business skills accelerator programmes to raise SME standards and connect them to markets, skills and finance, all of which lead to job creation and thriving African economies.
