An Indian company has been in contact to say:
We have a specific opportunity for execution of railway project of approximately 100 million USD which involves retrofit and re-laying of tracks with some signalling works. The tender for the same would be published in next two months.
As such we are looking to collaborate with respect to the following spectrum of activities:
1. Construction of New Railway Lines (Track Laying).
2. Rehabilitation /Conversion of existing lines.
3. Station Building and Roofing
4. Tunnels
5. Signalling and Telecommunication Networks.
We are looking for a partner who would invest and who can offer broad spectrum of activities such as Consultancy, Track Laying, Rehabilitation of existing lines and Signalling Networks. The proposed investment by both the private players & the government over the next 5-7 years in construction sector would be in excess of over 100 billion USD. Various works for track laying, signalling, pre-feasibility studies have been awarded to Ministry of Railways and its subsidiary companies in India and outside India.
With our available infrastructure & market knowledge we are able to provide an excellent platform for converting these opportunities into results.
However, if that would be detrimental we would be interested in a technical tie up for qualifications to the above works.
If you would like to meet the representative of this company when he visits UK, in June, probably Monday 14 June, then contact Richard Pelly: rp@britishexpertise.org.
