I was approached recently by a representative from one of the larger law firms in India who do much business for UK clients operating in India. He mentioned that there were many emerging opportunities for UK companies to participate in projects in India and asked specifically whether any British Expertise members would be interested in any of the following:

1. A 25 MW Solar Power Project near Bombay. Skills and expertise in the latest solar technology are being hunted as well as project management skills;
2. Various road projects being tackled by a consortia wanting both consulting expertise and financial skills;
3. An education project in which Singhania University is looking for a partner for an exchange programme;
4. A 5km road project testing the practicality of LEDs for street lighting;
5. Consultant assistance with construction projects relating to major future sporting events;
6. Port development consultancy;
7. Consultancy advice for an Indian Company seeking to broaden its expertise and business in the insurance market;
8. Consultancy for Indian companies considering the purchase of companies in the UK engineering sector.
